Fundraising for this project is being coordinated through World Mission and their "Jesus is Life" mission program. The purpose of the “Jesus is Life” mission’s outreach is to target a specific region of the world for an uninterrupted 1-year period. This saturation strategy is intended to empower and encourage the national/indigenous church leaders, deliver an intensive gospel witness, build the infrastructure of the local church, advance an economic development strategy and distribute Talking Bibles to the illiterate and functionally illiterate community.

The name was given to the Executive Director of World Mission, Greg Kelley, one early morning as he was considering distribution models for the Talking Bible. The Lord laid out this comprehensive approach while the song ‘Jesus is Life’ (Steven Curtis Chapman) played. The name was a perfect choice because it declares that Jesus is the answer for people in harsh and difficult circumstances.
